Welcome!

At The Hinojosa Lab, our mission is to create an intellectually stimulating environment that prepares the next generation of scientists passionate about using neuroscience to improve and develop treatments for co-occurring posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD) in women of color.

OUR RESEARCH GOALs

Through our research, we aim to...

Characterize
neural systems
that support key components of PTSD+AUD clinical symptoms

Identify the
time course
in which clinical symptoms of PTSD and AUD develop

Explore
sex differences
in the development and maintenance of PTSD+AUD

... in marginalized groups.
